- Support the Factory SCM on assigned tasks.
- Collaborates with suppliers and category managers to optimize cost, submit requests for quotation and drive cost savings projects.
- Identifies new suppliers in cooperation with relevant category team. Qualifies new suppliers in cooperation with Supplier Quality and Engineering specialists.
- Adapts corporate contractual framework to the local business needs. Recommends frame agreements to management and executes upon approval.
- Negotiates agreements with suppliers, and periodically renews pricelists, terms and conditions.
- Analyzes and evaluates bids/pricelists to determine optimal value. Support supplier negotiations as needed to achieve cost savings targets.
- Designs and implements plans for local sourcing to reach the business targets. Supports regional and global sourcing initiatives as required.
- Applies and implements SCM standards, tools and processes in the area of responsibility to secure quality, delivery, cost and sustainability.
- Creates and updates reports, as required, following the Hitachi Energy standards.
- Work closely with the project, bid, and proposal teams with the project’s needs and cost-effective purchase of goods and services.
- Overseeing supplier performance (on-time delivery, quality, lead time) and resolving performance issues.
- A Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Engineering or similar field
- At least 2 years of experience in Supply Chain or Procurement
- Very good knowledge of MS Office and SAP
- Experience within operations or supply chain within electrical equipment manufacturing for energy sector is a plus
- Good level in English (spoken and written).
- Strong negotiation skills.
- Results orientated with the ability to plan and deliver against project deadlines.
- Good time management and task prioritization, exhibits a sense of urgency when necessary.
