Join our RPS Engineering team as an Engineering Manager - New Product Development and Implementation:
DUTIES:
- Organizational lead of team for new product development and implementation on frequency converters
- Manage a multi-disciplinary team of approx. twenty electrical and mechanical engineers across three European locations
- Collaborate with System Engineering in platform development
- Responsible for design, validation and verification of electrical / electronic systems
- Have a strong understanding in electro-mechanical and thermal design,
- ideally in the field of power electronic products
- Drive product development and development of methods, rules and tools in an equal way.
- Develop and lead a global development organization with members in Kempen, Krakow and Sofia
- Drive an innovation and quality culture in the team
- Deliver complete frequency converter solutions based on customer requirements
- Experienced in technical customer contact during order execution
- Continuous improve validation and verification concepts in development
- Ensure design for reliability through quality measures in engineering, e.g. FMEA, DVP&R
- Lead of improvement projects, ideally certified LEAN practitioner
- Resources and skills management
- Personnel development of subordinates
JOB QUALIFICATIONS / REQUIREMENTS:
- 8 - 12 years of experience in electro-mechanical development engineering, finally in leadership position. International leadership experience will be a differentiating factor.
- Completed university studies preferred in mechanical engineering with strong electrical background.
- Person with ability to drive technical decisions
- Very experienced in time and project management
- Excellent leadership skills, being sensitive to human nature
- Deep understanding of product development methods and processes
- Knowledgeable in Six-Sigma-Methods, Lean Leadership
- Very good communication and presentation skills
- Excellent analytic and conceptual skills
- Being pragmatic and willingness to make decisions
- Very good English language knowledge will be essential
