Join our Engineering (Industrial Turbomachinery Systems) team as an Embedded Software Verification Engineer for Safety Systems
We are seeking a skilled and passionate professional, to join our Industrial Turbomachinery Systems Electronics Group and participate in process of developing software for safety related systems according to the IEC 61508 series of standards.
- Verification of embedded software for safety modules in industrial applications.
- Preparing testing strategies and test plans with limited guidance.
- Automation and optimization of testing wherever is possible, using various tools and approaches.
- Testing on real targets (safety systems) and instrumentation with “Hardware in the Loop” concept.
- Executing automated and manual testing per predefined test plans.
- Participating in creation of verification plans; capturing needed requirements; adapting existing verification plans for changes to existing products or for similar, new products.
- Schedule testing, monitor test progression and document results of testing.
- Expanding existing automated test frameworks (NI TestStand and LabVIEW).
- Providing work effort estimates.
- Seeking for new solutions and technologies to improve test capabilities and robustness.
- Master’s Degree in Software Engineering or related field.
- More than 1 year of professional experience in software development or testing.
- Experience in LabVIEW development is required.
- Knowledge of measurement equipment will be a plus.
- Basic knowledge of communication protocols for Embedded Systems (CAN, Ethernet, Serial).
- Good problem solving, and troubleshooting skills.
- NI TestStand or NI Vision development experience will be a plus.
- Test automation experience will be a plus.
- Ability to effectively operate in the project team environment.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate well in English, orally and through written documentation.
