Technology Center in Gdansk is a part of United Technology Climate Controls & Security group. With over 200 employees we develop new products for fire & security systems.
For our Gdansk Team, we're now looking for Electronics Engineer. Chosen candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing algorithms and software solutions for video and radar signal processing, enabling different services that include, but are not limited to: people detection/counting, anomaly detection, etc. Responsibilities on this position include hardware, firmware, software integration and testing. The individual will take responsibility to be a global nexus between the EU (Poland) teams and the global Innovation and Research organization, and will actively participate in creating new collaborative opportunities and technology roadmap with a high potential to create disruptive products for UTC CCS and Otis. Electronics Engineer will also be involved in technology maturity levels ranging from TRL1-TRL5, with responsibilities to manage the transition to product development teams.
The candidate will need to maintain and extend the network of UTC internal and external entities with the objective to accelerate the agenda for innovation for CCS and Otis. The job requires deep technical knowledge and the ability to create strategic content and tactical execution.
- Develop, evaluate and implement software applications for data and image processing (video and radar)
- Software/HW integration and testing
- Investigate new technologies, and their potential applications to Otis and CCS. The area of software integration and data/image processing will be a focus in this segment
- Act as a nexus between the team at Gdansk and the global I&R team
- Create intellectual property
- Ability to expand beyond areas of expertise, especially in networks and communications
- Minimum an engineering degree in electrical engineering, or computer sciences
- Working experience, preferably in the area of software/HW integration, radar, image and data processing are a plus
- Experimental / test experience is required
- Team oriented personality, capability to work with multi-disciplinary teams
- Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills
- Excellent communication and influential skills
- Organized with strong attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple priorities
- Must be proficient in spoken and written English
- Capability to coordinate and provide/receive technical guidance of globally located and multi-disciplinary teams
