Electrical Engineer, Level 1 - System Simulation, Grid Codes & Electrical Drive-Train
- Frequency converter control algorithms design by means of modelling and simulation
- Power electronics, electrical machines, electrical grid systems modelling and simulation
- Thermal modelling of semiconductor devices used in frequency converters
- Development of calculation tools for different converter and machines types
- Alignment between simulation and real product data (-> model validation after site acceptance tests)
- Preparation of Matlab automatic calculation tools in electrical and thermal domain
- Preparation of user interface for automatic calculation tools
- Preparation of data processing scripts for various calculation types
- Engineer/Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering (with focus on Drive Automation or Power Electronics) or similar
- Knowledge of electrical calculations – 1-phase and 3-phase AC circuits steady-state phasor calculations
- Knowledge of electrical machines used in wind power generation systems and understanding equivalent circuits parameters
- Knowledge of power electronics – especially 3-ph IGBT converters used in wind turbines
- Basic knowledge on the grid-side and machine-side 3-ph power electronics converters control concepts
- Basic knowledge in the area of power electronics components thermal analysis
- Experience with Matlab/Simulink required
- Experience with Mathematica is an advantage
- Experience with PLECS is an advantage
- Ability to read C/C++ code and debug DSP control source code on PC
- Competent skills in problem solving and trouble-shooting
- Ability to effectively operate in the team-work environment and communicate with team members
