In the course of our further international expansion to Poland, our Head Office in Warsaw is looking for a
Director Category Management (f/m)
In this position you have the overall responsibility for the category management and for the local purchasing for Food & Non Food of Maxi Zoo Poland, reporting directly to the Country Manager.
Your job functions:
• Identification, measurement and quantification of local market / product trends and opportunities
• Strategic development and continuous adaption of the assortment
• Market launch of the private label range
• Definition and implementation of the pricing strategy according the local circumstances
• Creation and realization of the national advertising strategy
• Development of strategic partnerships, negotiations with local suppliers according to local needs in line with Fressnapf standards
• Close cooperation on category management and purchasing issues with the respective departments in our German headquarters
• Close cooperation with the central warehouse and fulfillment center, ensuring the supply chain for local product range
• Setting up and leading a team
Your qualifications:
• University degree in (International) Business Administration, Economics or comparable qualification
• At least 5 years of professional experience in purchasing and category management in an international retail company, at least 2 years experience in a leadership position
• Hands-on mentality and motivation for pioneer work
• Fluency in Polish and English (spoken & written) is essential
• Strong communication, negotiation and intercultural skills
• Clear focus on customer orientation, excellent analytical skills
• Passion for pets and pet food industry
• Knowledge of the pet food industry is desirable but not essential
