- Further develop solutions for future systems, services and applications
- Plan Compute resources, prepare them and maintain during the whole lifecycle
- Maintain and deploy database systems (Servers and Clusters)
- Monitor all database systems needed for daily business and further
- Plan further resources or replacement of outdated systems
- Plan database system optimization
- React on incident reports received from support, monitoring system or other channels
- On-call depending on the application or service needs
- Capacity planning and resource usage forecasting
- System configuration for higher throughput and better stability
- Install database systems from OS level
- Patch and upgrade database systems
- Identify issues on database systems and configuration (troubleshoot)
- Identify issues on services attached (relaying) on the database infrastructure
Essential
- Fundamental Certification on database systems or products maintained (Oracle, MS SQL...)
- University Degree in Information Technology
- Minimal programming skills on java and know-how on JDBC interfaces
- Broad know-how on PL-SQL and database architecture
Desirable
- Senior Oracle Specialist with Certifications
- Minimal project management skills
- Advanced certifications on products used such as in programing, Java etc.
- Advanced certifications on OSs used such as Linux and Windows Server
Essential
- At least 5 years of experience on IT and the database systems
- Knowledge on database architecture and design
- Skills on system documentation
- Basic knowledge on database and system monitoring and performance analyses
- Knowledge on storage systems
- Knowledge and experience in IP, Ethernet and SAN networking for running complex database cluster systems
- Basic knowledge on best practices and well known system design
Desirable
- Advanced experience on database systems and server operations (10 years or more)
- Experiences in providing user trainings and system presentations
- In depth know-how and experience in IP, Ethernet and SAN networking for running complex database cluster systems
- Broad experience in system and process automation.
- Advanced experience on PL SQL and JAVA
Essential
- Speaks fluent and writes in business English (Written and verbal communication)
- Can explain and express complicated circumstances so that other engineers or supporter are able to follow and collaborate
- Has a high awareness and focus on service delivery and system stability
- Is accountable and taking the lead on his tasks
- Broad experience in management of smaller or internal projects

- Is healthy and fit so he is resilient to higher workload in special occasions and is able to lift a server for installation into a cabinet
- Can manage small and medium projects

- Can take the role of the deputy in case the head of the team is not available

Is planning and coordinating all activities and resources for the datacentre infrastructure team

Delivering base infrastructure or ensuring its stability so the Engineering team can successfully deploy IT services on top
