About this opportunity
This position gives a great opportunity to make a real impact on Nordea’s data landscape in one of the most data-driven parts of the organization, Financial Reporting & Control in Group Finance.
We in the Data Ownership team add value by making certain that data used in financial and regulatory reporting is fit for purpose, correctly understood and appropriately monitored. If data quality issues occur, we know how to remediate them early on to avoid the need for further manual interventions. Good data governance is also fundamental for accurate and timely reporting that is a mandatory capability for meeting compliance requirements and top management expectations.
As a Data Asset Owner, your main tasks are to support the business in understanding, governing, and improving the data they work with, thereby significantly helping GF to achieve its objectives.
What you’ll be doing:
- Creating and maintaining business definitions for data
- Outlining data quality requirements
- Supporting projects with data governance related topics
- Analyzing and following up on Data Quality issues in collaboration with other stakeholders
You are not expected to do all of the above alone, we have a team of professionals supporting each other as well as Data Stewards in the line organization units.

- Some kind of an understanding of basic concepts related to data, either through studies or previous work experience
Your experience and background:
- 2+ years of experience in working with Data Governance, Data Warehousing, maintenance or development, or similar roles
- Experience in banking regulatory reporting and/or financial accounting is an advantage
- Basic SQL skills are an advantage
- Fluent spoken and written English is a must
The role can be adjusted somewhat based on the applicant’s level of experience.
