Our Danish client, a cloud technology innovator, is building a new Operations team in Poland. We are looking for a Cloud Solutions Systems Administrator for their nearshoring team.

Some of the primary responsibilities of this role will include:
- Owning, tracking and resolving database related incidents and requests;
- Fulfilling requests and resolving incidents within SLAs;
- Reviewing service related reports (e.g: database backups, maintenance, monitoring) on a daily basis to ensure service related issues are identified and resolved within established SLAs;
- Responding to database related alerts and escalations;
- Working with database engineering to come up with strategic solutions to recurring problems.
Primary tasks:
- Ensuring all database servers are backed up in a way that meets the business’s Recovery Point Objectives (RPO),
- Conducting test backups to ensure we can meet the business’ Recovery Time Objectives (RTO),
- Troubleshooting SQL Server service outages as they occur,
- Determining the most effective way to increase performance,
- Configuring SQL Server monitoring utilities to minimize false alarms,
- Choosing whether to use clustering, log shipping, mirroring, Windows Azure, or other technologies.
Requirements:
- Relevant higher education with emphasis on IT,
- 2 -3 years IT operation with strong understanding of database structures, theories, principles, and practices,
- 3-5 years Microsoft SQL Server experience,
- Understanding of, and experience with, server-client computing and relational database environments,
- Experience with data management and data processing flowcharting techniques,
- Knowledge of reporting and query tools and practices.
Nice to have:
- Good understanding of network and software defined networking,
- Experience in monitoring and familiar with Microsoft SCOM,
- Experience in trouble shooting,
- Experience with customer support,
- Technical documentation skills,
- Has several non-expired certification in one or more Microsoft technologies. (MCSE level).
