Cloud Operation Engineer(s) to support our customer facing applications

You will be joining our CloudOps team in our Infrastructure and Services department, part of Group IT in 3Shape. We are scaling the team both with regards to new colleagues but also in our geographical reach. We will be covering all time zones and are therefore staffing up in several regions. Hence, to ensure collaboration and capabilities across regions, English proficiency is a must as well as a desire for introducing, following, and improving standardized practices and procedures. As we are hiring several colleagues simultaneously it is not required to fulfill all ‘requirements’ now – let us know where you already proficient and which area you perhaps would like to learn and develop over time. We have a learning on the job culture and prefer to expand and promote internally as part of our growth journey.
In the Cloud Operations team, we strive to help deliver a controlled Azure platform with the highest degree of self-service and transparency for all internal customers. We collaborate to build the infrastructure foundation that future solutions will depend on and maintain/upgrade the solutions already running. As part of our maturation process we will mature the concept of running books for new applications taken over. We are currently only working with Azure, but a hybrid mindset is beneficial. Creating runbooks and experience with the following tasks will be key:
- Manage Azure identities and governance
- Implement and manage storage
- Deploy and manage Azure compute resources
- Configure and manage virtual networking
- Monitor and back up Azure resources
- Min. 2 years experience as an Azure administrator
- Proven experience managing Azure resources and/or implementations
- Creating Runbooks and operational experience an any of the above
Other cloud related experiences will be seen as a benefit, so please describe any experience in either of the following areas: migrating on-premise workloads to Azure, experience with Windows server and/or Linux server, understanding of Vnets and VPN environments, Traffic Manager, Web Apps, Application Gateway. All security related services such as: Backup and Disaster Recovery policies and best practices, network access control, secure remote access and cross-premises connectivity, Availability, Name resolution, DMZ architecture, Monitoring and threat detection, DDoS Protection or other.
Azure certificates are not required, but any of the below would be a bonus: - AZ-100: Microsoft Azure Infrastructure and Deployment - AZ-101: Microsoft Azure Integration and Security - AZ-104: Microsoft Azure Administrator - AZ-500: Microsoft Azure Security Technologies - Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate - MCSE Productivity Solutions Expert.
