Valk Fleet is a young company growing rapidly in several countries, with a strong funding by a strategic investor. It is our mission to improve the food delivery experience by taking over the activity of delivering food from the restaurant and professionalising it on all levels. Our proprietary technology automates the delivery process, and we hire and train a professional fleet of drivers to deliver the food in the best and fastest way possible. We are an extremely passionate team and are aiming to fundamentally impact the food delivery business in the near future. Based on our international experience, we want to scale this business to 500 thousand orders delivered monthly within the next two years.
Valk Fleet Poland is looking for a passionate, energetic, commercially oriented Country Manager to join as a partner, managing our Polish operations and reporting to our Global CEO. You will help to develop and execute our strategy locally and ensure that our ambitious growth targets are met.
The successful candidate ideally would possess experience in the restaurant industry, or in managing projects with complex logistics. To be successful in this role, you need to be a hands on leader and able to motivate and grow highperforming teams. It is absolutely necessary to be comfortable working in a dynamic, fastgrowing startup environment. As we are a techdriven international company, fluency in English and Polish, along with excellent skills in interpreting data is of utmost importance.
- Driven and experienced Business Unit Leader/Country manager
- Develop and execute the strategy of the business unit
- Take full P&L responsibility and ensure achievement of aggressive growth targets across multiple Polish cities
- Oversee all essential business functions including sales, operations, fleet management, customer care and finance
- Rapidly grow and develop a high performing crossfunctional team
- Ensure operational excellence with a clear focus on process stability and scalability in all levels of the business
- Manage the interface to the global holding and ensure alignment with Valk's overall strategy
- Strong entrepreneurial drive
- Be a very handson leader with the ability to motivate others to go the extra mile
- Experience at a tier 1 company
- Management experience in the restaurant or delivery industry is a plus but not mandatory requirement
- The ability to grasp complex concepts quickly and understand the moving parts
