"Category Purchaser - Consumables & Catalog Parts "

Your responsibilities:
- Based on a deep understanding of the company vision and deriving global sourcing mission, you will support the Category Sourcing strategies for Consumables & Catalog parts to provide a competitive advantage throughout sourcing and leveraging local & European supply markets
- Immediately respond to unforeseen supply failures, working with suppliers to avoid supply chain interruptions
- Be active in develop market intelligence for defined categories and perform supplier evaluations by applying best practice methodologies
- Be responsible for the development and maintenance of the Supplier Panel for defined categories, including continuous assessments of any risks derived from containing suppliers and/or related markets
- Analyze, develop and implement best practice sourcing techniques to the assigned category portfolio, and compare and analyze aforementioned techniques with best-in-class companies
- On the basis of the company framework contracts, negotiate and apply supply agreement with suppliers
Your profile:
- Bachelor and/or Master degree in Business Administration or Supply Chain Management
- More than two years’ experience in for an adequate function closely acting with vendors and/or suppliers, preferably within the electro-mechanical industries.
- Proven track record in development and implementation of global procurement strategies, supplier evaluation and market intelligence
- Good understanding of production processes and technologies of assigned categories. Ability to understand value streams, cost drivers and how to break down cost structures.
- Able to negotiate in English. German and/or French language skills are a plus.
- SAP/SAP Ariba knowledge is a plus
- You are flexible and open to travel internationally to suppliers and to Hager plants
(approximately 5% of working time) - You are familiar to work within an international and multi-cultural environment
- You are team oriented and have excellent written and oral communication skills
