Category Buyer - Direct Materials

Position Description
- Execute sourcing decisions for category “Direct Materials” regional level, inclusive negotiation and finalization of agreements.
- Assure adequate input for and execution of global category strategy, active and adequate support of the global category leader.
- Allocate frame contracts to demand requests; enter, monitor, track and trace SAP purchasing orders.
- Perform responsibility for assigned category and its reporting on regional level.
- Handle allocated supplier base and ensure quality and timeliness of supply.
- Be responsible for regional KPI and savings achievements and reporting.
- Handle and track supplier reliability and administer improvement program.
- Support category manager/leader and global team members
- Optimize procurement process with the agreed field of engagement.
Position Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in business administration or related field or equivalent.
- 2-3 years of experience in sourcing and purchasing of direct materials and services, good feel for the needs of category.
- Good knowledge of procurement principles and processes as well as advanced negotiation and analytical skills, strong customer care focus.
- Experience in relevant category.
- Advanced IT skills (SAP MM, MS Office).
- Very good English language knowledge.
- Knowledge of German would be an advantage.
