The main scope of this role is to provide buying support for projects run by the Mars business units in Poland. There are also possibilities to support projects in other countries.
Job Purpose:
In this role as a Buyer, the key purpose is to execute the Indirect Buying activities in terms of costs, quality, risk & availability for several Mars sites.
One of the principal characteristic of this role is to be able to manage a high complexity in terms of number of projects, type of investments and number of internal clients.
The purchasing categories in scope may include services, goods, equipment for various areas and departments of the business (e.g. engineering, logistics, marketing, factories, operations, maintenance, etc.)
Key responsibilities:
- Purchasing goods & services, securing price, capacity & service levels in line with commitments to the business and as per the sourcing strategies
- Assess and develop suppliers in order to meet business needs and opportunities
- Ensure effective risk management of the supply base, through robust contracts and monitoring of financial and other KPIs
- Supplier Relationship Management
- Establish & maintain relationships with internal clients, understanding of their needs and to facilitate the appropriate level of challenge
- Comply with policies, systems & controls
- Provide market and financial insights and inputs to the internal sourcing process
- Provide input to and execute strategies; implement best practices
- Develops & implements a continuous improvement action plan
- Identifies and manages supplier collaboration initiatives
- Efficient and effective team work (collaboration, help and support, learning and sharing knowledge)
- Participate actively in the European team meetings
- Work closely with the European sourcing managers to drive the implementation of sourcing strategies
- Contribute to maintaining a good level of team spirit and atmosphere
Our expectations:

- Work experience as a Buyer, knowledge of buying process
- Experience in applying a wide range of buying tools and techniques
