BUSINESS CONTROLLER, EASTERN EUROPE (HSI, HEALTH SCIENCES INTERNATIONAL)

Elsevier is currently seeking a senior Business Controller to help to deliver the ambitious sales growth plans for Eastern Europe territory. The successful candidate will be based in Wrocław office in Poland and will work in conjunction with internal finance team, reporting directly to Finance Director, HSI based in London, dotted line to Managing Director Poland. The candidate will partner with MD and management team of Elsevier Poland and Elsevier Russia to provide strong leadership, analysis and counsel relating to all financial matters of the business, and to assist the MDs in ensuring that their businesses achieve their strategic objectives. Responsible for leading and managing all finance department staff, including the preparation, management of, and analysis related to all P&L, Balance Sheet, cash flow, treasury, budgeting, financial reporting and business development activities.

Wymagania

- Proven 5-10 years experience in a senior financial role

- CPA, ACA, MBA, Financial Degree or Diploma - Experience managing a finance team - Experience directing and coordinating analysis, economic research, financial feasibility studies and return on investments - Ability to devise financial policy approaches and strategy - Experience in implementing and maintaining financial and business risk controls - Expertise in the coordination of design, implementation and monitoring of computerized accounting and administrative systems: Exact, Hyperion Enterprise & Hyperion Financial Manager

- Proven commercial track record - International business experience ideally including Russia - Fluency in English & Russian language (assuming native in Polish) - Used to work in a matrix organization - Willingness to travel on a frequent basis
