Description
Guided by Jacobs’ values the Brand Systems Specialist works to support the company strategy by creating a seamless brand experience — both internally and externally — through all aspects of our communications by managing our Document Template System to enable users to produce on-brand materials.
The Brand Systems Specialist uses compelling and innovative tools and techniques to enhance our brand, to tell our stories, to differentiate Jacobs in the marketplace; and to celebrate our values, personality, and purpose. As a brand advocate, the Brand Systems Specialist helps define, promote and implement our brand’s visual identity system and tone of voice; educates and inspires sales staff, graphic artists, and other internal users of our brand; manages vendors and tools; and ensures consistency in our messaging and materials.
Objectives of this Role are:
- To work closely with the Brand Systems Director, the Creative Director, and the Marketing, Brand & Communications team to lead and implement well-designed, innovative systems, tools, and templates that achieve communication and business objectives of our Document Template System.
- To collaborate effectively with all stakeholders within the communications team, corporate groups, and business groups to drive the development of integrated communication tools.
- To implement and manage a modern document template program and system.
- To make available training for all users of our Document Template System and related tools and templates, and to cross-train staff as needed.
- To manage the day-to-day relationships with key vendor partners by implementing corporate procurement standards, by steering development of scopes of work, by providing oversight of works in progress, by identifying program KPI’s, and by ensuring programs achieve results and operate at anticipated levels.
- To act as owner of our Document Template System including strategy, system components, development roadmap, governance, vendor oversight, training, and communications.
- To represent users of our Document Template System in development of features, guidelines, and tools, and to execute development and implementation as needed.
- To advise and educate the team and stakeholders on creative trends, best practices, and ground-breaking document-management tools and methods.
- To be a brand advocate by providing education and guidance to sales staff, graphic artists, and other users of our brand guidelines and resources.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Fine Arts, Graphic Design, Interactive Design or related field.
- Must have at least 3 years’ experience in brand communications or integrated marketing.
- Must be fluent in English and comfortable working in a multi-cultural environment.
- Strong program-management skills.
- Demonstrated mastery of MS Word and MS PowerPoint; and working knowledge of Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop and InDesign/QuarkXPress.
- Demonstrated knowledge of database and systems design and management; able to effectively collaborate with technical experts.
- Comfortable negotiating contracts, procuring services, and collaborating with the Procurement and Accounts Payable teams to facilitate payments and terms.
- Comfortable presenting training courses to large groups (in person and virtual).
- Demonstrated strong interpersonal, oral, and written communications.
