We are looking for a BigData Applications Support Engineer responsible for delivering and supporting Nordea Bank’s applications working in Hadoop eco-system (Cloudera/MAPR). Your future responsibilities
You’ll join TOS/Application Maintenance, where we secure the daily operations and maintenance for Nordea’s application portfolio.
Team responsibilities include:
- Providing L2/L3 Support including 24x7 on-call duty
- Deploying software changes in production environment, often out of business hours
- Liaising with other application supporters and internal/external business/technical partners
- Timely escalation of critical issues and proactively identify patterns of recurring issues to improve production
- Problem resolution and conducting root cause analysis and establishing processes that will help incident prevention

We expect the ideal candidate to have experience in Applications Support with a strong focus on Linux and Databases. Experience in Big Data and Hadoop is preferred.
Furthermore, you have some of the following skills:
- SQL databases background
- Experience with Linux environment (at least RHCSA - comparable level)
- Bash, Python or any other scripting language experience is required
- DevOps automation tools (Ansible, Jenkins)
- Excellent communication skills and demonstrated ability in working with distributed global teams. Be able to work both independently and collaboratively with others on complex technical issues
- Solid grounding in Financial Service is a plus
