For our client – global web & mobile application provider – we are seeking a automation tester with good knowledge in C# development
The candidate will work closely with Product Owners, Software Developers and QA Testers to develop and maintain the growing automation suite, provide reports to the daily standup and help to identify further components of the platform which are suitable for automation.
Supporting new product development and existing regression, the candidate will be comfortable suggesting and making changes to production code to support automation, and participating in planning and estimation, code reviews, and retrospectives.
Some degree of manual and exploratory testing will be required in order to gain an understanding of the systems but the candidate should expect to spend the majority of their time coding and should have a firm understanding of C#, SQL, SpecFlow, Cucumber and Selenium.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop and implement automated test scenarios using SpecFlow / Cucumber in a .NET environment.
- Work with development resources to drive improvements in overall quality, automation and testing processes and techniques
- Debug software and perform reviews of automation and application code.
- Constantly evaluate the test automation strategy and approach to identify areas of improvement.
- Build up and maintain a Regression test suite.
Required Skills
- Minimum 2 years experience writing automation tests for Web and Mobile applications.
- Experience developing in C# and SQL in the .NET environment.
- Experience working with SpecFlow, Selenium, Cucumber and Jenkins, and design practices like Continuous Delivery, Page Object Models and Git branching.
- Experience working within an Agile Environment, with elements of Kanban, Scrum and eXtreme Programming.
- Excellent written and spoken English
