Job Description
- TheAtrium CMDB Implementation Specialist responsibilities include the following:
- Performs CMDB migration and deployment (on-boarding) activities such asdata extraction, data conversion, data mapping, data uploading;
- Creates solution design and other technical documents for the CMDBmigration for existing customers as well as for CMDB on-boarding for newcustomers;
- Ensuring successful hand-over to regular delivery/operations units byproviding training to less experienced users and administrators of Atrium CMDBsolution;
- Cooperates with other departments to ensure that interfaces and wholetooling solution work correctly end to end;
- Contributes to establishing and enhancing the configuration datamigration and on-boarding environment that includes the developing, modifying,enhancing process for supporting the migration and on-boarding;
- Verifying of migrated or on-boarded data quality.
- Performs project management type of activities such as:
o reaching theproject objectives in time, within the budgeted cost and with goodquality,
o creation of projectdefinition,
o definition of functionalrequirements,
o definition of acceptance and projectcompletion criteria,
o definition of project work breakdown structure
o providing effort estimates for thepurpose of project cost planning and tracking,
o hold regular project status meeting
o reporting progress on work packagelevel on a weekly basis
o escalations management;
o active management of project issues;
o active management of projectrisks,
o inform Program Management aboutpotential stakeholder concerns
- Bachelorsor higher level degree;
- Must have experience with using BMC Atrium CMDB – 2 years minimum;
- Must have experience in data migration projects and in Atrium CMDBon-boarding projects;
- Experience with Atrium spoon scripts;
- Experience in mapping one environment onto another, especially CMDBenvironments;
- Knowledge of and experience with the ITIL configuration managementprocesses and other ITIL processes;
- Ability to translate the customer business requirements into toolingspecific functional requirements, functional data models and toolingarchitecture;
- Experience of working in international project teams;
- Ability to work in autonomous, structured and well organized way as wellas to set right priorities;
- Good written and verbal English communication skills; German would beadvantageous.
- It would be a plus to have certificate: BMC Atrium CMDB 7.6.xAdministrator Part 1,2,3;
- Project Management experience.
