Romdil was founded in 1994 in Snagov and it is part of AAK Group companies with headquarters based in Istanbul. The company starts its activity in 1995, in Bucharest, with a chewing gum line. In the following two years the production lines spread to biscuits, chocolates, candies and wafers in order to capture a fair share in the Romanian domestic market. In 1999, the company changed its policy and moved to Baia Mare (in the north-west part of the country). The company invested in a new land with 53.000 m² in total area, 30.000 m² of which are reserved for offices and production facilities. Through other investments made in the same year, we started to diversify the company’s activity by launching new products on the market. Thereby, we have a wide range of products for a wider category of consumers. Furthermore, with the experience and business relations of our mother-company, we succeeded to penetrate the international market. Backed up by our logistics and experience, and also thanks to our direct sales policy used with our distributors, ROMDIL always succeeds in satisfying its customers.
