Architect / Senior Full Stack Developer

At OpusCapita our vision is to be the number one value provider of procurement and finance processes. We are seeking talented and experienced professionals to join our software development unit in Toruń (Poland).
We are now building new team in software development unit for the Source-to-Pay product line. The team is responsible to build our own cloud platform called Andariel in order to bring our next generation products to market and migrate our legacy products towards a SAAS-only future.

OUR TECHNOLOGY STACK

• Azure as a companywide cloud provider
• Dockerized microservice architecture orchestrated via swarm
• JavaScript (full stack) with Node.js and React
• ELK (Elasticsearch, Logstash, Kibana) for centralized logging
• Consul, Kong, Redis, MySQL
• OpenIDC for user base federation and SSO
• Github based development process using PRs
• CI/CD with help from our DevOps team
• Jira for project management

In addition to our platform, the team is also in charge of developing a multi-tenant, public cloud based system called Business Network Portal which enables us to integrate a wide range of services and products into one common self-service portal. Our teams are small, agile, multi-national and independent. We are working in a flat hierarchy. You will have your own responsibilities but also be accountable for the results of the team as of your experience and your position as a senior.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

• Develop full stack domain microservices for the Business Network Portal or Andariel based on our favourite technologies (Node.js, React, Docker, Github and Jira).
• Work agile with a scrum based approach and CI/CD.
• Use automated testing of developed solutions (unit / integration / end-to-end).
• Cooperate closely with product management and scrum masters.
• Coordinate the development activities for your assigned service(s), lead junior developers, apprentices and externals and allow others to learn from you.
• Create / refine / specify architecture to cover new/existing functional/non-functional requirements and ensure a smooth operation.
• As part of the seniors team, you will be sparring partner in order to help steering our development into the best possible direction.

WHAT WE WOULD LIKE FROM YOU

• We are looking for passionate developers that love the challenges of real business projects. You have already taken a lead role in a team or acted as go-to guy when others need help and guidance.
• You have created industry grade applications already or have experience with significant and relevant contribution to the same.
• You have a bachelors degree in information science, a degree in other similar IT related professions or an IT related work experience
• You speak English fluently.
• You know how to handle / avoid software performance, optimization and concurrency problems.
• You know the pitfalls of high traffic environments and have seen enough trouble that allowed you to develop a good intuition / gut feeling about the location and nature of an issue.
• You do not need extra libraries or frameworks to solve common and simple everyday problems.
• For you a programming language is a tool and not the final destination.
• You are not afraid to review JavaScript code created by your or other teams to ensure high quality feature output.
• You like to improve yourself and are eager to learn.
