As an Application Support Engineer you will be responsible for resolving Application Support requests and incidents for a critical application used by Investment Bank. You will be working directly with Business and IT users, so must have strong client facing skills.
Technical tasks include monitoring, detecting and troubleshooting issues in Windows/Linux application environments, responding to queries regarding application functionality, working with vendors on upgrades, preparing and testing software and configuration changes as well as some minor development work and scripting to automate common tasks. As a team player, you will recommend ways to improve the supportability, availability, efficiency of the application, procedure and working practices.
