AP/AR Accountant with German

The role:
AP area:
Main tasks of the position:
- Use electronic invoice tool (Readsoft Cockpit) efficiently (match goods received through PO system; get approval as per approval matrix)
- Provide assistance with monthly and year-end close procedures.
- Prepare analysis and reconciliations as needed
- Investigate and resolve price or quantity differences between purchase orders and related invoices
- Review and assign general ledger and cost center accounts to non-purchase order invoices
- Maintain favorable relationships with vendors: answer all vendor inquiries and process payments within scheduled due dates
- Maintain filing system
- Special Projects as assigned by the A/P Supervisor
AR area:
Main tasks of the position:
- Develop a strategy to reduce delinquent accounts and maintain a low Days Sales Outstanding
- Correspondence regarding past due balances, discrepancy resolution and respond to inquiries
- Research orders, contracts, and payment issues to resolve and process credit memos, debit memos and customer refunds
- Partner with Customer Relations, Sales and Technical Services as needed to resolve customer disputes and assist in problem solving
- Identify accounts which may present a credit risk and recommend credit hold status when appropriate
- Conduct credit references and assist in the determination of credit-worthiness of new customers
- Special projects as assigned
Job Requirments:
- Degree in Accounting or comparable qualification/experience
- Min 2 years of professional experience in finance/ accounting
- Very good German and English (must have)
- Excellent interpersonal communication, team playing skills and intercultural competence
- Good skills in software applications (MS-Office),
