Agri 2000 is an established field trial consultancy company, with a renowned reputation in providing premium agrochemical and fertilizer advanced services within the crop protection industry. The company currently requires a bright graduate from an Agricultural Science degree discipline, to join the polish team. Field trialists are responsible for designing, conducting and monitoring the effects of experi-ments/trials on plants in the field through experimental field trials.
The job will specifically involve assisting “Field Trials Officers” in marking out trial sites, measuring out chemicals for trial use, treatment application, assessment of trials, and subsequent computing of collated data.
- setting research aims and objectives;
- liaising with clients/customers, research personnel, and technical development staff;
- collecting, recording, analyzing, and interpreting data;
- observing field conditions;
- following stringent test guidelines;
- assessing the prevalence of diseases and/or pests;
- considering selections for breeding purposes;
- communicating unfavorable results from tests, including trials failures;
- writing technical publications and reports;
- keeping up to date with current developments;
- making presentations;
- attending trade shows and demonstrations;
- use of specific computer applications for recording and analyzing data.
- Educated to degree level in a scientific discipline, ideally Agricultural Science (Crop Protection);
- Relevant placement as part of your degree would be advantageous
- Willingness to learn new skills on the job
- Good knowledge of English written and spoken
- Good use of computer tools
- Good attitude to team-working and outstanding leadership skills.
