We challenge you to take an active role in guiding local EMEA organizations and driving improvement projects throughout the Accounting and Internal Control (A&IC) organization.
This role offers you a regional leadership position in Finance, where you will be at the heart of the Lumileds business as a new company. This is a unique opportunity for being part of the newly created Center of Excellence Finance in Pabianice, company based on the merge of two most winning businesses of Philips Lighting: Automotive Lighting & LumiLeds.
Your Team:
You will be member of the Accounting & Internal Control Team in a newly founded company based on the merger of Philips Lighting’s 2 most winning businesses; Automotive & Lumileds.
Your responsibilities:

Being the first point of contact for a subset of the (commercial/industrial/distribution) organizations in Lumileds EMEA, being the linking pin with the other parts of the Lumileds finance function (Finance Business Partners, Centres of Expertise in Finance Planning & Analysis)

Assure financial integrity and transparency of accounting and financial reporting (co-sign off of significant / relevant ORUs together with business partner)

Understand current practices, complex accounting items, complex accounting processes and systems

Manage and deliver streamlined accounting and reporting processes

Giving guidance to local organizations, ensuring accounting policy adherence and standardization

Identify & initiate simplification and harmonize opportunities

Drive and oversee improvement (harmonization and simplification) projects related to accounting processes and Internal Controls together with business and finance representatives

Together with the global and regional accounting team, guide/ support local ORUs in implementing process simplification and harmonization (incl. data analytics)

Actively work with the R2R specialists and Lumileds ORUs to drive continuous improvement and process maturity (e.g. in rule based controlling)
We are looking for a person who fits the following requirements:

A Master degree in a Finance and Accounting oriented study

An Accounting Qualification (CPA, RA, RC, ACCA or comparable) is strong plus

At least 5 years of progressive work experience in finance or accounting

Fluent knowledge of English is a must (both orally and in writing)

Good understanding of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS)

The necessary IT experience (SAP, BCS / EFR, Excel)

Business acumen, developed through experience

Project management experience is a strong plus
