Position Summary
We are required, by law, to complete statutory accounts in Poland using Polish language and systems. To meet this obligation, we use an external accounting firm to prepare the local accounts for our Polish legal entity. The role of the accountant is to provide a link between the EMEA Shared Service Centre, based in the UK, and the local external accounting provider and to ensure that all statutory local filings are completed.
This role involves liaising with other teams in the Wroclaw office, the external accounting provider and the UK based SSC, to make sure all entries are booked into both sets of books and all local and US GAAP requirements are completed.
Key Responsibilities
- Submission of accounting documents to the local external accounting provider
- Convert invoices produced from Infor accounting systems to Polish compliant version
- Receipt review to ensure original copies are received for expense claim submissions
- Reconciliation between US GAAP and Polish Statutory accounts
- Coordination of Polish statutory audit and filing of annual accounts
- Coordination of any adhoc statutory requests to ensure these are completed.
- Polish language support to AR collections team (as required)
- To undertake adhoc duties which may arise e.g. requests for data from corporate team/HR/tax teams etc.
Key Requirements/Experience
- Experienced accountant who is used to preparing/filing Poland statutory accounts
- Experience of US GAAP accounting and identifying differences to Polish GAAP
- Fluent in Polish and English
- Ability to work to deadlines
