Position description:
Reporting to the Financial Controller, you will play a key role in provision of accurate accounting and reporting on the Polish entity.
Responsibilities include
- Maintenance of all Polish accounting records.
- Preparation of all periodic journals & accruals for the Polish stores & central costs, investigating & explaining all variances to budget and prior year.
- Reconciliation of all balance sheet accounts periodically.
- Preparation of the annual financial statements in accordance with local Polish Accounting Standards.
- Preparation & submission of the annual tax return in accordance with local Polish requirements.
- Preparation & submission of VAT returns.
- Preparation & submission of monthly Intrastat returns.
- Calculation of monthly payroll for Polish staff (currently around 50). Processing of payments and timely/accurate calculation and payment of Polish Employment taxes. (ZUS).
- Posting all invoices to the ledger.
- Preparing the weekly invoice payment run.
- Reconciliation of bank accounts, investigating & resolving all variances.
Requires:
- Fully qualified with a recognized accounting body with experience in the above areas.
- Excellent English.
- Excellent numeracy and IT skills (particularly Excel).
- Excellent attention to detail, performing all work with high levels of accuracy.
- Open, friendly person who is proactive and can work well on their own as well as part of a team.
