Accenture Research - Healthcare Analyst

Job description:
- Perform secondary research focusing on financial services and x-industry topics across the spectrum, utilizing a number of internal and external sources, paper and electronic, including web-based and online databases.
- Retrieve, synthesize, package and present secondary research findings according to the needs of the customer: typically supported by Microsoft PowerPoint, Word and Excel materials and commented orally.
- Support Accenture clients and business development teams with various pieces of analysis: company profiles, market segment profiles, analysis of Accenture competitors, biographic profiles, issue-based research, data-driven research, financial analysis, business capability-related research (e.g. human performance, sales & marketing, outsourcing, etc.).
- Consistently deliver high quality work within budget and on time.
- Identify new sources of relevant content and contribute to evaluations of external content for acquisition
- Actively participate in general secondary research responsibilities e.g. participating in Accenture Research workgroups at local, regional or global level etc.
- Support development of our relationships with key customers: Healthcare Industry and Client teams, client/regional SE leads, Communities of Practice, capability development and marketing and the Healthcare research team
- Develop your own knowledge in major healthcare industry markets and business segments (business acumen, key players, overall market trends) and technologies
- Provide support in other activities like scoping new research proposals and writing of research work proposals
We are looking for someone who has the following core skill sets, or has the potential to develop them quickly:
“Hard Skills”
- Research skills: able to take an issue and turn it into a researchable question; able to scope the research effort and cost it accurately; able to use most research techniques such as secondary database searching, company analysis, market analysis, strategic analysis frameworks, interview-based research and financial analysis. Solid experience in packaging , synthesizing and presenting research deliverables
- Analytical ability: we want researchers who can draw out the implications of the research they do and tell a compelling, business-focused story about the data that is relevant to Accenture’s business and clients
- Knowledge of Healthcare sector: Particular knowledge of market trends; the regulatory framework; key industry players and competition issues; the critical metrics for evaluating company performance; and the structure of companies operations would be an advantage.
- Strong Ms Office (PowerPoint, Excel, Word) skills
- Good written and oral communications skills in English, including the ability to understand the research requirements and expectations of the customer and clearly communicate deliverables
- Ability to quickly grasp complex and unfamiliar subjects, and willingness to expand these to incorporate into everyday work
- Understanding of business and economics issues at large, as they have strong impact on the healthcare industry performance.
- Ability to handle more than one task simultaneously and prioritize appropriately
- Ability to work independently and share status updates on work progress
- Knowledge of German would be considered an advantage
