Fresenius Medical Care decided to establish Shared Service Centre in Wrocław and is recruiting for the position of A2R (General Ledger) Accountant with English language.
Purpose & Overall Relevance for the Organisation:
• Ensuring correct and daily execution of key responsibilities in the Financial Shared Service Center according to the requirements of the Group Accounting Manual for specific area of responsibility (General Ledger)
• Self directed worker for a specific service area
Key Responsibilities and General Accountabilities:
• Day to day operations in the general ledger area:
- Prepare/validate automatic GL-postings
- Prepare manual GL-postings
- Reconciling of balance sheet and general ledger accounts
- Determine accruals and prepayments at month end close
- Execute general accounting period-end routines in accordance with defined period-end checklists and service level agreements
- Process period-end adjustments and accruals
- Perform general ledger close process
- Execute period-end checklists
- Capitalize fixed assets
- Maintain fixed assets
- Update Fixed Asset Registry as necessary
- Perform regular bank reconciliations
• Assist with other clerical duties
• Other specific accountabilities as directed
• Adherence to service levels
• Adherence to policies and procedures
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
• Complete familiarity with Microsoft Office or equivalent tools
• Knowledge of SAP FI a plus
• Excellent understanding and experience with VAT processing
• Ability to read, write and communicate in English in a business setting (focus on read and write).
• Good keyboarding and data entry speed
• Ability to work independently
• Ability to pay close attention to detail
• Ability/willingness to travel (2 to 6 weeks periods)
• Good Communication skills
Requisite Education and Experience / Minimum Qualifications:
• University degree in economics / finance with major in Accounting or equivalent qualification / work experience
• About 3+ years relevant work experience
• Direct functional experience
